Atlatl is an instrumental trio based in southern Vermont boasting a new and unique sound. Atlatl formed in 2009 and have already played countless shows in almost every setting imaginable, from small house parties to packed clubs where they have shared the stage with internationally acclaimed acts such as The Rustic Overtones, The Paranoid Social Club, Blanche Blanche Blanche and countless others. Atlatl’s members have worked and performed with amazingly diverse groups of musicians from the guitar sensations Buckethead, Paul Gilbert and George lynch to post-free jazz clarinet great Perry Robinson, In performance situations that range from auditoriums to The Bonnaroo Festival. All members of Atlatl have been Involved in international tours, playing in countries like China,England, France, Germany, Mexico, and Canada. In 2011 Atlatl Recorded with Grammy-Winning producer and engineer Billy Shaw which resulted in a critically acclaimed eponymous EP.

Atlatl’s musical influences run from Free-Jazz to Hindustani and Carnatic music to The Beatles and even to bands like Black Sabbath and Meshuggah.

In beginning in January 2012 Atlatl is going on a month and a half tour from New England down to Gainesville, Florida playing every major city along the way, If they happen to be playing near your shanty please come on by!
